About Me

My name is Andri Kokoshi and I am a freshman at the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University. I have not yet decided what I am going to major in, but my two main interests are Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Computer Engineering. I also plan to pursue a minor in Economics.

Current Courses

My courses for the Fall 2014 semester are CHEM101, EGR103L, MATH212, and PSY105.

Future Plans

I look forward to conducting research and completing an internship at Duke, as well as participating in either a study abroad program or DukeEngage.

Grand Challenges for Engineering Link

World's Largest Single Rooftop Solar Power Project Commissioned In India, Mridul Chadha, Clean Technica, created 12 September 2014, accessed 13 September 2014 (Make solar energy economical)

MATLAB Demonstrations

My favorite MATLAB demonstration was Loma Prieta Earthquake because it shows how MATLAB can be used to analyze real data graphically. The demonstration highlights MATLAB's usefulness because it shows how engineers and scientists can use MATLAB to understand complex events such as earthquakes, resulting in more accurate predictions of these events. After viewing this demonstration, I began to see MATLAB as a dynamic resource instead of a dull computer program.
